The Schoolhouse Museum, built in 1877 and renovated and opened as a museum in 1993, hosts an interesting collection of artifacts relating to schools and education in rural Lake County. Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is a nature reserve preserving a tule marsh, archaeological sites of the Pomo people, and historic ranch structures. It consists of 1,065 acres of riparian, grassland, oak woodland, and tule marsh habitat.
Lower Lake is a census-designated place in the southern Clear Lake region of Lake County, in northern California. Lower Lake is also an Indian rancheria of the Koi Nation people. Lower Lake's population was 1,294 at the 2010 census.
